A wireless passive survey was conducted in response to our client's request in Winnipeg, Manitoba, aimed at addressing the technical challenges they were encountering. With a total of 10 Meraki MR45 APs installed on the metal ceiling, the survey revealed no issues with wireless coverage in the 2.4 GHz spectrum, but identified a gap in coverage within the 5 GHz range.
A detailed recommendation to remediate the issue was proposed to the client. Additional 2 more MR45 APs were recommended to remediate the issue.
A wireless site survey was conducted using Ekahau Site Survey Pro and Ekahau Sidekick. The details of the surveys are below.

The images below is showing the SNR in 5 GHz for the site. There are 10 Access points to cover the whole area. The SNR for the project was set to be 25 dB or above according to the client’s requirement.
