Ekahau Site Survey - Passive Survey Sept-lles, Quebec, Canada.

We recently finished a Wi-Fi site survey in Sept-Îles, Quebec, Canada, utilizing Ekahau Site Survey Pro with an Ekahau Sidekick. The survey details are as follows.

Site: Warehouse/Office

Area: 20000 sq feet

Height: 25 feet

Survey type: Presurvey using APoS

Coverage: 2.4 GHz and 5GHz

AP used for APoS: Cisco 9120AX3802i and 3802e

Antenna: ATS-OO-245-46-4RPTP-36 ACCELTEX SOLUTIONS and Indoor/Outdoor Omni Antenna 

  5 GHz  2.4 GHz
Signal Strength -65 dBm -65 dBm
Secondary signal strength  -75 dBm  -75 dBm
Tertiary signal strength

This image is showing the signal strength map in 5 GHz. There are  8 Access points to cover the whole area. The signal strength is set according to client requirements.

Signal Noise Ratio:

This image shows us the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The Survey Engineer sincerely design and maintain the required level of SNR.  That will confirm the seamless connection for all types of users.

Noise Level:

This image shows the noise level. All noises are unwanted but some noises are unavoidable so, the Engineer sincerely calculates the level of noise and maintains the desired level of signal strength.

Surveyor's Walk Path:

This image shows the surveyor’s walk path. The surveyor walks all the areas and confirming the signal coverage as well as the location of the Access Point.
