A Passive wireless survey was completed with the help of an Ekahau Site Survey and Ekahau Sidekick in Bolton, Ontario for a reputable client. The indoor area of the warehouse/plant was found to have had good wireless signal coverage. The outdoor area had no to little coverage.
A trial deployment of AP on the Stick (APoS) featuring Cisco 3802i/3802e units with external antennas was conducted in the office, warehouse, and outdoor areas. Subsequently, a new network design was formulated and a comprehensive recommendation was delivered to the client through a detailed report.
A wireless site survey was conducted using Ekahau Site Survey Pro and Ekahau Sidekick. The details of the surveys are below.

The images below is showing the SNR in 5 GHz for Warehouse. There are 20 Access points to cover the whole area. The SNR for the project was set to be 25 dB or above according to the client’s requirement.
